DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Following the Supreme Court’s recent ruling allowing government prayers in Jesus’ name, a Florida man is seeking to open his local commission meeting with a prayer to Satan—just to see if the government will grant him equal time.
Chaz Stevens recently sent a request to Deerfield Beach officials asking that he be allowed to open an upcoming meeting with prayer.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An abortionist who sparked outrage in 2012 when he claimed that he was doing a service to taxpayers by ridding the world of ‘ugly black babies’ has been arrested on rape charges.
Ashutosh “Ron” Virmani, abortionist at A Preferred Women’s Health Center, was taken into custody at his home in early Thursday morning, and was booked at the Mecklenberg County Jail shortly after 3 a.m.

A high school in Wisconsin is under fire for removing “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance.
According to the Star Tribune students at East High School in Madison recited the godless pledge in March. Other reports claim some recitations replaced “under God” with the word “peace.”
T.J. Mertz, a member of the School board told the Star Tribune it was unclear whether the students acted on their own or were instructed by a staff member to recite the altered pledge.
The New York Times did a big write-up on the latest developments on the now-scrapped Ground Zero mosque plan.
The notorious provocateur, Ground Zero mosque developer Sharif el-Gamal, unveiled a new plan to build a three-story museum “dedicated to exploring the faith of Islam.”

A McDonald’s restaurant in New York fired a worker after 8 years because she “opened a whole bee’s nest” by buying food for firefighters after they put out a house fire, she said this week.
Heather Levia, 23, told WIVB that she was working as a manager when the group of firefighters came in and ordered 23 breakfast sandwiches after fighting the blaze. It was a cold day so Levia covered the $83 cost of the meals herself.
MARION COUNTY, Ore. (KOIN 6) — The Marion County Board of Commissioners voted to halt a medical waste program Wednesday after reports surfaced accusing the waste facility of disposing human tissue, including aborted fetuses.
The board said they took immediate action in response to an article published in the British Columbia Catholic Herald newspaper April 21 that claimed “biomedical waste” was being disposed at the Covanta Marion, Inc. Energy-from-Waste facility in Brooks that contained “human tissue” and “fetal tissue.”

CHICAGO (CBS) – Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said a bloody holiday weekend that saw at least eight people shot and killed and dozens others wounded “doesn’t wipe out” reductions in violent crime in the past two years.
Since Friday evening, at least eight people were shot and killed in Chicago, and at least 44 others were wounded, police said.
CYPRESS, Texas -- The family of a 2nd grade student at Hamilton Elementary says their daughter’s book of choice – the Bible – was an issue of concern for her teacher, and that two weeks ago, during a “read to myself” time, the girl’s teacher took her Bible away.
