Source: CNN By: Bryony Jones A notorious hate preacher who led a flag-burning demonstration outside the US embassy on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and voiced support for jihad has been convicted of inviting support for ISIS. Anjem Choudary, 49, has courted controversy over two decades, skirting the edges of the law, backing extremism but with no proof of actually inciting violence. He earned the wrath of Britain's tabloid newspapers, making him - by his own admission -- the country's "most hated man."

By: Meagan Damore In their annual “Studio Responsibility Index” report, GLAAD takes major film studios to task for their representation (or lack thereof) of LGBT people in film. The organization recently released their 2016 report, which gives Disney a failing grade; over the 11 films the studio released in 2015, none of them included appearances by LGBT people. This year, GLAAD cited the “Star Wars” universe specifically as an area where the studio could change this.

Author: Michael F. Haverluck Bales Memorial Wesleyan Church in Jamestown, N.C., was the first Christian house of worship to be targeted last weekend by militant LGBT advocates, who destroyed the church’s sign, broke windows and pulled parking signs out of the ground. Not stopping there, the homosexual activists tore up flowers in the parking lot and vandalized the church bus by scratching up its hood and jamming a sign through its front grill, according to the Christian News Network. On Saturday, members of the Wesleyan church also found their church building covered with broken eggs, silly string, and pro-homosexual jargon fused with hate speech. Some of the spray-painted vandalism written on the outside walls of the Jamestown church included, “Gay’s OK,” “He hates you!” and “God loves [expletive]!” The next day, “gay” activists struck another church less than 20 miles away in Greensboro with similar rage and destruction. Grace Baptist Church officials were dismayed to find their worship center vandalized Sunday morning with the signature window smashing and egg pelting over its facility. This time, however, silly string was replaced with toilet paper, which covered the church property. Source: Conservative Tribune
Ah, Dearbornistan. It’s the one place in America where the Council on American-Islamic Relations isn’t terribly concerned about the separation of church and state. Dearborn has one of the largest populations of Muslims in the United States, with an estimated 40 percent of the city’s population being of Arab descent. So, for Ramadan, the police chief announced that he’s going to be enforcing a curfew on all residents — including Christians. The Islamic holy month of Ramadan requires Muslims to fast from sunrise to sunset, meaning that many food shops are open 24 hours a day to accommodate fasting needs. The city has a curfew in effect during the hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, with a slightly later curfew on the weekends. Dearborn Police Chief Ron Haddad, a Muslim, said that the city’s Muslim parents should be extra careful making sure their children don’t congregate after those hours. READ ENTIRE STORY HERE! So it’s great when we see stories of teens who not only won’t stand for bullying, but will make sure whatever schemes the bullies may hatch to humiliate their peers don’t come succeed. When a few high school students in Grand Prairie, Texas planned on pranking classmate Lillian Skinner by telling her that she had been nominated for homecoming court when she really hadn’t, Lillian’s friends, homecoming nominees Anahi Alvarez and Naomi Martinez, decided to fight back. Both girls agreed, and cleared their idea with the school principal, that if either girl won, they would renounce their title to Lillian. When Anahi Alvarez won the title of homecoming queen, Lillian, who was taking pictures for the school yearbook, was presented with the homecoming crown in front of her entire class. As Grand Prairie High School Principal Lorimer Arendse stated:
“In all my time in school, this is probably the greatest moment I’ve ever experienced as a principal.” The three girls have been friends since 7th grade, and Naomi and Anahi had nothing but nice things to say about Lillian, especially her belief that a person’s inner beauty and goodness is more important than their outward appearance. It’s clear that Lillian Skinner has inspired her friends with that message, and hopefully, they’ll inspire others with their gesture of kindness for one of their best friends.
