The Presbyterian Church, U.S.A. is raising eyebrows after lifting up prayers to Allah at its General Assembly meeting last week.Source: CBN News
"Allah bless us and bless our families and bless our Lord. Lead us on the straight path - the path of all prophets: Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad." These were the words that rang out over the congregation at The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, USA meeting in Portland, Oregon. Wajidi Said, co-founder of the Muslim Education Trust, led the attendees in the prayer to the Islamic deity, a move arranged by the Ecumenical and Interfaith ministry staff at the assembly. The prayer was part of the "first order of business" during the meeting's opening session, a time dedicated to praying for those affected by the Orlando shooting that occurred just weeks before.

Source: Stand Up For The Truth Sorcery in the Church? Sadly, yes. Today we’re exploring the roots of the great falling away Jesus spoke of, and how sorcery has exploded within the visible church from about the 1980s. 2 Tim 3:13 warns that “evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Joining us today is Mary Danielsen, a researcher and frequent guest on our program. You can find her reports on the high-tech influences used by world governments to keep tabs on its citizens. She shares this on her The Things to Come blog. By: Lea Speyer In a landmark document, the Vatican announced on Thursday that Catholics should stop missionizing Jews and should work with Jews to combat anti-Semitism. According to the document, which was released by the Vatican’s Commission for Religious Relations with Jews, God never annulled his covenant with the Jewish people and “the Church is therefore obliged to view evangelization to Jews, who believe in the one God, in a different manner from that to people of other religions and world views.” Galatians 1:9
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Jeremiah 23:16 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
Source: Christian Post by: Carey Lodge A devout Christian couple from Florida are championing an unusual evangelism technique – swinging.
Christy and Dean Parave met online eight years ago, and began swinging after being approached in a DIY store. They now regularly swap partners with other couples. While most would regard sexual promiscuity as conflicting with their religious beliefs, the Paraves, who both compete as bodybuilders, believe that they can use their newfound connections to share the Gospel. By Simon Parry In Manila, The Philippines, For Mailonline Street children as young as five are being caged in brutal detention centres alongside adult criminals in a cynical drive to smarten up the Philippines capital ahead of a visit by Pope Francis this week. Hundreds of boys and girls have been rounded up from doorways and roadsides by police and officials and put behind bars in recent weeks to make the poverty-racked city more presentable when Pope Francis arrives tomorrow, a MailOnline investigation has found. In a blatant abuse of the country's own child protection laws, the terrified children are locked up in filthy detention centres where they sleep on concrete floors and where many of them are beaten or abused by older inmates and adult prisoners and, in some cases, starved and chained to pillars. Six million people are expected to attend an open air mass conducted by Pope Francis in Manila's Rizal Park on Sunday, which will watched by a global TV audience and officials appear determined to ensure that urchins are hidden from view. Daubenmire is hosting a prayer vigil on Saturday alongside the Rev. Rusty Thomas of Operation Save America and Pastor Bill Dunfee of New Beginnings Church in Warsaw.
The billboards are sponsored by a group called "Ask a Muslim," based in Columbus, which says that it is dedicated to educating people about Islam. "We believe that clearing up the many misconceptions about Islam will make this world a better place. A place with less violence and hatred, filled with mutual respect and understanding," the group says. The group argues on its website that Muslims are actually Christians, if "Christian" is taken to mean someone following the teachings of Christ. "Muslims are following the teachings of Jesus, while most Christians have began to follow the Church – this is why the Quran needed to be revealed. (Holy Quran 9:31)," the website states, and offers that there is a connection between Jesus and Muhammad in the Bible. "Please remember Islam = following Jesus. Muhammad confirmed Jesus," it adds. Requests for comment and further clarification from "Ask a Muslim" by The Christian Post were not returned by the time of press. Through the prayer vigil, Daubenmire is hoping to make clear that Jesus Christ is not a Muslim. Read full article HERE
