By: Alex Newman The Obama administration and its “Task Force on 21st Century Policing” are under fire after unveiling an unconstitutional plot to impose federal “standards” on state and local police forces, which critics say is in effect an underhanded plan to further nationalize and federalize law enforcement. Widely lambasted as “Common Core” for police, the Obama plan outlines dozens of controversial “recommendations” to be foisted on state and local law-enforcement agencies using federal tax dollars as bribes — the same unconstitutional process used to impose the hugely unpopular national “Common Core” standards on states and schools nationwide. Opponents say it is part of a dangerous long-term plan that must be opposed. Asking children to attend Christian assemblies undermines their human rights, according to a United Nations committee. By: THE CHRISTIAN INSTITUTE Asking children to attend Christian assemblies undermines their human rights, according to a United Nations committee. A highly controversial new report by the U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child expresses "concern" that pupils in the U.K. are legally required to take part in a daily act of collective worship, which is "wholly or mainly of a broadly Christian character." Conservative MP David Burrowes described the criticism as "ludicrous" and said the government can "respectfully put those kinds of reports in the bin where they belong." The mystery of the military-style U.N. vehicles spotted being hauled along Virginia’s highways deepened on Tuesday when two major contractors denied to WND that they had any role in the vehicles’ production or presence.
WND had reported on Monday when a wave of blogs reported online that trucks painted with the United Nations logo were being moved by flatbed through Virginia. One interested reader pointed out that the trucks likely were made in America and simply needed to be hauled to some port for shipment to customers – most likely overseas. In fact, the online rumor-busting site Snopes said it had contacted Alpine Armoring, which reported the vehicles “seen in these photographs were purchased by the United Nations for use outside the United States.” On Wednesday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced at the United Nations that her office would be working in several American cities to form what she called the Strong Cities Network (SCN), a law enforcement initiative that would encompass the globe. by: PAMELA GELLER This amounts to nothing less than the overriding of American laws, up to and including the United States Constitution, in favor of United Nations laws that would henceforth be implemented in the United States itself – without any consultation of Congress at all. The United Nations is a sharia-compliant world body, and Obama, speaking there just days ago, insisted that “violent extremism” is not exclusive to Islam (which it is). Obama is redefining jihad terror to include everyone but the jihadists. So will the UN, driven largely by the sharia-enforcing Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the pro-Islamic post-American President Obama, use a “global police force” to crush counter-jihad forces Source: NBC News/ Red Flag News (by Lisa Haven) -- A reporter from NewsChannel 13, Mark Mulholland and his camera man Matt Soriano were threatened with arrest by a corrections lieutenant on July 24th, simply for having an “empty” prison in the background of their video footage on Grant’s Cottage—a nearby historical site where President Ulysses S. Grant died. If this so called “empty” prison was truly “empty” then why all the hassle from the lieutenant? Furthermore the prison houses 0 prisoners, yet has 76 working officers?! Source: Yahoo News Virginia Republican Rep. Frank Wolf says there is a genocide being perpetrated against the Christians of Iraq and the White House hasn’t said a word about it, much less acted to stop it. The terrorist group the Islamic State, an al Qaida off shoot that has taken over large swaths of Iraq in recent months, told Christians in the Iraqi city of Mosul they had to convert to Islam by July 18 or they would be killed, according to the Economist. The only other option they were given was to leave Mosul, a city which has had a Christian presence for nearly two millennia. So thousands of Christians have now fled the city in fear for their lives. On Tuesday, the Committee voted 12-6 in favor of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The vote was mostly along party lines, with the exception of Republican Sens. John McCain (AZ) and John Barrasso (WY), who approved of the proposal. While the treaty aims to provide protections for disabled persons worldwide, some state that the means in which to carry out the United Nations’ interests are flawed and oppressive. Michael Farris, founder and chairman of the Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), opined in a press release this week that the treaty can be used by government officials to override the will of parents by citing the agreement’s clause referencing “the best interests of the child.” Source: WND Author: Jerome Corsi UNITED NATIONS – Representatives of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, or UNHRC, are “intensely discussing in meetings” the possibility of extending U.N. protection to the thousands of Central Americans crossing the U.S. border with Mexico illegally by defining them as “refugees” who are seeking asylum from political and domestic violence in their home nations, WND has confirmed. Officials privy to the U.N. discussions have explained to WND it’s “a tricky situation,” because the Central American immigrants are not part of any group the U.N. has designated as victims of political or religious persecution. A UNHCR official confirmed Monday to WND via email that a 10-nation meeting in Nicaragua of ministers of the interior from the U.S., Mexico and various Central American countries was held Thursday and Friday. The ministers, according to preliminary reports obtained by WND, concluded the Central American illegal aliens are “refugees” deserving international protection under the auspices of the U.N. as they seek asylum in the U.S. The ministers cited the U.N.’s 30-year-old declaration on the rights of refugees. |
