Teenagers growing up in this country face unprecedented challenges including drugs, depression, violence, bullying and mental health disorders. Many of these struggles do not get recognized or addressed, and may lead to violence, or self-harming behaviors.
The Oasis is a youth group designed to be a safe place for our teens. The Oasis offers our youth a place to express themselves, get peer support and promotes social responsibility and empathy for others.
The group is facilitated by Minister Bill Raupp, a social worker with over 17 years experience working with youth and families.
The oasis encourages youth to take lessons learned and reach out to other lonely and hurting youth in their schools.
Topics covered include anger management, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, how to treat others, thinking outside of yourself, volunteering and other relevant topics.
The group is open to all youth ages 13-18. We have slots currently open and are open to any referrals.
Our organization (CYI Worldwide) also offers free groups on a variety of topics.
