Former Flyleaf Singer Lacey Sturm Shares How Faith Saved Her Life in Upcoming Book "The Reason - How I Discovered a Life Worth Living"
Atheist on the brink of suicide finds God and hope
Nashville, Tenn. (July 31, 2014) - From suicide attempts, drug use and physical abuse to finding faith and purpose, Lacey Sturm gets real in her upcoming book "The Reason - How I Discovered a Life Worth Living," set to hit shelves in October (Baker Books). In her personal story, the former Flyleaf singer shares her journey from atheism to salvation and how she found faith on the day she planned to end her life.
Al Kasha, the Christian composer who won two Academy Awards, has spoken about leading folk music legend Bob Dylan to accepting Jesus Christ as his personal savior in 1978.
Kasha recently addressed the rumor that the popular 73-year-old "Blowin' in the Wind" and "Hurricane" musician had defected from Christianity.
"Absolutely," said Kasha to Assist News when asked if Dylan is still Christian today, as he attended the Pat Boone 80th Birthday Celebrity Roast event in Beverly Hills, California on June 1. "Anyone who can sit and write 34 songs about Jesus Christ believes in Jesus Christ."
Kasha revealed that he led Dylan to Christ nearly 40 years ago after he prayed for Dylan to accept Christ into his life when both men were studying the Bible inside Kasha's home.
This past Easter Jacoby Shaddix (frontman of Grammy award winning Papa Roach) shared his testimony of how he came to accept Christ at a church in San Diego. I love hearing when big names in the secular music world accept Christ and use the stage they're already on to reach out. He has a very powerful testimony. Check out the above video!
