![]() N.U. Life was greatly inspired by Chris Tomlin 's words of worship and surrender unto God in his well known song, "Here I am to worship". N.U. Life's "Here I am" is a hip hop version of that very powerful song in which they mix both the original chorus and their own lyrical creativity. Because the members of N.U. Life are bilingual, they have also incorporated a unique Spanish twist that makes this single a must hear. Website: www.wearenulife.com

One day, as they reflected upon the purpose for which God has called them through this journey, they felt that the name “N.U. Life” had great significance and meaning to both their personal lives, as well as their ministry as a whole. N.U. Life stands for “New Understanding of Life”. The story begins with, Daniel “Garcee-A” Garcia, who was introduced to music at home by his mother. His mother would constantly worship around their home with some Opera-like notes and ballads. She also encouraged Daniel to go to church and to be involved with the youth department. Daniel, from a very young age, was passionate for music. This passion would unfold in preparation for one particular youth service event. Pastor Elias Gonzalez would ask him to create a Christian rap performance for this event. Daniel happily agreed. It was from this moment on that Daniel recognized what he loves to do for the Lord. His talent soon led him to seeking the word of God where he would find the inspiration for his lyrics, which then led him to preach the word of God. Preaching then quickly became his first true love. The plan continued with Daniel finding the love of his life, Valerie “Grace" Garcia. Valerie from a young age desired to sing for the Lord. However, she had to overcome her extremely shy character. With the help of friends and family, her voice would soon begin to develop and become stronger. Her passion for the Lord was something that Valerie had developed as a result of being exposed to Him all her life due to being the granddaughter of the founding pastors of the church which the members of N.U. Life are members of. She was also daughter of the church’s youth pastors at the time. She struggled a lot exploring her talent due to her shyness which many times stood in the way, but her determination kept her practicing and always believing that singing was her calling. She continued to participate in the church worship team, youth choir, and local talent shows. She soon met her husband and soul mate, Daniel Garcia, who she would marry in July of 2003. They had three beautiful children: Daniel Isaac, Mariana Melody, and Grace Harmony. Now together in ministry as a family unit, they are seeking God and following the Holy Spirit’s guidance through this journey. However, Valerie and Daniel are not alone in this ministry. Their best friend and brother, Jonathan “J. Water” Ayala, is the 3rd member in N.U. Life. Jonathan fell in love with music at the early age of seven. That passion soon grew and he would begin using it as an outlet. His talents began to develop in High School as he participated in several talent shows and small musical performances. He soon met Daniel in school and was introduced to the Christian hip-hop genre. At first, Jonathan was hesitant, but saw that the life that Daniel was living was positively impacting the young people around him. He quickly realized that what was missing from his life was a relationship with the Lord. They became friends and soon they were more like family. He was the best man at Daniel’s and Valerie’s wedding. As of that day in 2005 when they collectively, under the guidance of God, became N.U. Life, they have been dedicating their lives and talents to God. Their only wish is that through God’s endless love and mercy, they may be vessels which He can use to touch and impact all the lost souls in this generation who find themselves seeking a purpose in life. That they may discover a N.U. Life in Jesus Christ! To God be all of the GLORY and HONOR, and to him alone. Amen.
