Kansas City Missouri Police Department
A little boy was found wandering at 4th and Troost around midnight today with just a diaper on. Police later learned he was autistic, and they reunited him with his family. While officers searched for the family, the little boy slept in Officer Huth's arms. We love this picture taken by 41 Action News - KSHB-TV reporter Sarah Hollenbeck.

Source: Baptist Press Author: Karen L. Willoughby STURGIS, S.D. (BP) -- Closer to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally's bar scene and with an extra three-hour nightly shift, Baptist volunteers nearly tripled the professions of faith recorded last year. The Dakota Baptist Convention-led outreach -- with its popular giveaway of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle -- gave 120 volunteers from at least 20 states and Canada 3,654 opportunities to share three-minute testimonies, up from 2,141 last year, leading to professions of faith by 513 people, up from 178 in 2013. "It was a wise decision that Garvon [Golden, DBC executive director] had, to move locations," said Buck Hill, the convention's missions director. "It put us deeper into the jungle, into the devil's playground." (CNN) -- A video released by ISIS shows the beheading of U.S. journalist James Foley and threatens the life of another American if President Barack Obama doesn't end military operations in Iraq.
In the video posted Tuesday on YouTube, Foley is seen kneeling next to a man dressed in black. Foley reads a message, presumably scripted by his captors, that his "real killer'' is America. "I wish I had more time. I wish I could have the hope for freedom to see my family once again," he can be heard saying in the video. He is then shown being beheaded. Follow UP: Minister Grok: The Persecution Response Source: The Blaze Author: Liz Klimas No one would deny amount of positive awareness the viral “Ice Bucket Challenge” has raised for ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease, but some are criticizing it for wasting water, especially in drought-stricken areas like California. Jason Ruiz for the Long Beach Post drafted a quick breakdown of just how much fresh, potable water could be tossed in the challenge (emphasis added): To put the waste this campaign has caused into simple terms, let’s just assume everyone is using a five gallon bucket. Now multiply that number by the more than 1.2 million videos shared on Facebook since June 1. Based on that assumption (5 x 1,200,000), over 6 million gallons of water have been poured out in the name of Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The average American household uses 320 gallons per day, which means that based on this estimation, nearly 19,000 homes’ daily water usage has been wasted. And that’s not even taking into account that videos posted online often depict multiple people, sometimes even entire sororities or fraternities, taking part in the ice bucket challenge, often using more than one bucket per video. Source: Christian News network Author: Heather Clark PHOENIX – An appeals court in Arizona has ruled that a woman who began converting her appearance into a man over a decade ago may be granted a divorce, overturning a lower court ruling that denied the proceedings over confusion whether the woman was a man when she married. As previously reported, in 1997, Tracy Lehuanani Lagondino began undergoing testosterone treatments and changed her name to Thomas Beatie. In 2002, she underwent a double mastectomy and chest reconstruction, but decided to keep her female reproductive organs and womb. Source: Charisma News Author: Michael Brown On a regular basis, whenever there are reports of moral collapse in our country or of wars and crises worldwide, someone will say to me, "This is it! Jesus is about to return! Everything is coming down!" Of course, according to one system of interpretation, that could be true and the Lord could return within the next few moments or years. The problem I have is that I've heard Jesus is coming back any moment for more than 40 years. Could it be that we have a wrong mentality about the end of the age? Could it be that we're missing something very important?
Source: Conservative Tribune The state of North Carolina has taken a step that many other states have taken to ensure that the US Constitution and the constitution of the state are the laws that are applied in courts, not the laws of any foreign cultures. It recently passed a measure aimed at keeping Islamic Sharia law from being enforced in state courts, especially family law. Similar laws have been passed in Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Tennessee. A federal judge ruled the Oklahoma law unconstitutional because it discriminated against a certain religion without a compelling state interest. The NC bill’s authors hope to have avoided that problem by making the language of the bill so that it applies to any foreign laws, not specifically mentioning Sharia.
