The mystery of the military-style U.N. vehicles spotted being hauled along Virginia’s highways deepened on Tuesday when two major contractors denied to WND that they had any role in the vehicles’ production or presence.
WND had reported on Monday when a wave of blogs reported online that trucks painted with the United Nations logo were being moved by flatbed through Virginia. One interested reader pointed out that the trucks likely were made in America and simply needed to be hauled to some port for shipment to customers – most likely overseas. In fact, the online rumor-busting site Snopes said it had contacted Alpine Armoring, which reported the vehicles “seen in these photographs were purchased by the United Nations for use outside the United States.”

Ottawa (AFP) - Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on Monday called for greater integration with Canada and the United States in the wake of Britain's vote to split with the European Union.
Nieto, who spoke during a stopover in Quebec City, is scheduled to attend a North American leaders summit in Ottawa on Wednesday with his US and Canadian counterparts. The three countries are economic partners in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and work closely on security matters.

The first incident occurred at 10:30 a.m. ET on July 4 off the coast of Alaska, Fox News is told. Two U.S. Air Force F-22 jets were scrambled from their base in Alaska to intercept two Tupolev Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers, capable of carrying nuclear weapons. The second incident occurred at 11:00 a.m. ET also on July 4, off the central coast of California. Two F-15s from an undisclosed location were scrambled to intercept another pair of Tu-95 Bear bombers. By: Heather Clark COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – A number of Air Force cadets stationed at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado have staged a ‘revolt’ against the recent erasure of Scripture from a white board outside of a cadet’s bedroom. “I have been crucified with Christ therefore I no longer live, but Christ lives in me,” the Scripture from Galatians 2:20 read, which was written in marker on the outside of the unnamed cadet’s dorm room door. “And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” According to reports, cadets at the academy and others who saw the handwritten Bible verse soon contacted the Washington-based Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) to lodge a complaint. A jihadist group in Syria has demanded that Christians in the northern city of Raqqa pay a levy in gold and accept curbs on their faith, or face death. The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) said it would give Christian residents "protection" if they agreed to the list of conditions. The announcement came in a statement posted online. Correspondents say ISIS is trying to implement an extreme interpretation of Islamic law in areas it controls. Raqqa, seized by ISIS last year, was the first provincial capital to be completely in the hands of rebels. |
