Original Article: Lifestitnews.com By: BY PETER BAKLINSK MILTON, Ontario, 16 October, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Critics of Mary Wagner’s ministry to abortion-bound women claim that her strategy, which involves peacefully entering abortion facilities to hand out roses and literature to abortion-bound mothers, does not save lives but only results in her arrest and imprisonment. But Mary, 39, who has been jailed numerous times - and is currently in jail - for boldly acting on her conviction that every human being deserves life, now has definite proof that her ministry has dramatically altered at least one person’s destiny. Original Article: Breaking Christian News "There is nothing empowering to women about bringing abortion-on-demand up to the moment of birth to New York. In a day and age when females can be killed in utero simply for the crime of not being male, it is a mockery of what our feminist foremothers stood for to try and force this on New Yorkers. Women's rights must begin in the womb, or women have no rights at all." - Lori Kehoe, Executive Director, NY State Right to Life Original Article: Life Newsby Sydney Volanski Tell me who you hang out with and I’ll tell you who you are. Anna Maria Chávez, CEO of Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA), offers this pithy saying as her favorite quote. In order to figure out who the Girl Scouts are, I suppose we must follow Ms. Chávez’ logic and look at the organizations that GSUSA associates with. A good place to start would be the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). WAGGGS has member organizations across the globe, the largest of which is GSUSA, contributing approximately a quarter of the ten million members that belong to WAGGGS. GSUSA is a co-founder of WAGGGS and one of WAGGGS’ largest financial supporters, paying over $1 million each year in membership fees which are triggered by each girl and adult member’s annual GSUSA registration. The global organization is a well-known advocate for sexual and reproductive rights, including abortion, for youth, and claims to speak for all of its 10 million members. by Steven Ertelt Original Article: LifeNews Who should young girls grow up to be like? If you listen to the Girl Scouts, the answer is apparently they should aspire to become Wendy Davis, the state legislator whose sole claim to fame is standing up against a bill to stop abortions all the way to birth in Texas. Abortion Advocacy Groups Praise Legacy of Nelson Mandela for Legalizing Abortion in South Africa12/10/2013 BY: Heather Clark Original Article: Christian News Network EASTERN CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA –Abortion advocacy groups in the U.S. and around the world are praising the legacy of the late former South African President Nelson Mandela for his role in legalizing abortion in the country. Mandela, a Nobel Peace Prize winner known for his work to end apartheid, passed away on Thursday at the age of 95 after a prolonged battle with a lung infection. “Today, we’re honoring the incredible life of a true champion for social justice, equality, and peace,” Planned Parenthood posted on Twitter Friday morning, including a picture of Mandela wearing a ribbon lapel pin. “It is with great sadness that we heard today about the passing of Nelson Mandela,” NARAL Pro-Choice America posted on Facebook. “Among so many other accomplishments, he replaced one of the most restrictive anti-choice laws in the world with one of the most progressive, giving women in South Africa sole control over whether to choose abortion.” Rev. Patrick Mahoney : Nov 18, 2013 : Christian Defense Coalition "Throughout our history, great social movements have been sustained and carried by prayer. Ending abortion is no different." (Albuquerque, NM)—As Rev. Patrick Mahoney walks all nine Albuquerque voting districts over the next two days, he will involve hundreds from across the nation to join him "virtually" in prayer through the internet and social media. Original Article: Albert Mohler Back in 1869, Baptists in Kentucky established a “Home for the Helpless,” seeking to serve orphans and other homeless children. Like so many other Christian churches and denominations of the era, Louisville’s Baptists saw the need for an orphanage to provide care for parentless and abandoned children, who before the establishment of orphanages were housed with adults in almshouses. The Home for the Helpless became the Louisville Baptist Orphans Home, and its charter established its mission to serve “orphan and destitute children.” Those Baptists saw the orphanage as a Christian duty in response to a biblical mandate. November is Adoption Awareness Month. Adoption is the option that everyone can live with–the mother, the father, the extended families, and, literally, the child. Over fifty-five million lives ended through abortion in our nation have left countless women, men, and their families wounded. Adoption, by contrast, brings a legacy of life and love into this world. Both create a ripple effect for generations to come, one for ill, one for good. |
