NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -The NYPD has been warned about possible terror attacks by the Islamic State, or ISIS, after a new video surfaced. The video was posted online and encourages its followers to attack police in Canada, Great Britain, France and the U.S. It specifically mentions civilians, police and military. The NYPD is taking the threat seriously. A bulletin tells New York City police to watch approaching people, particularly their hands. However, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security issued a statement that authorities "have no specific, credible intelligence of an attack of the kind in Paris last week being planned by terrorist organizations in this country." But, the reasons for these measures should be self-evident to the public: the recent attacks in Paris, Ottawa, Sydney, and elsewhere, along with the recent public calls by terrorist organizations for attacks on Western objectives, including aircraft, military personnel, and government installations and civilian personnel," Secretary Jeh Johnson said in a statement. He said the agencies within the department had stepped up security and counter-terrorism measures. A previous ISIS video appears to have inspired attacks. About a month after that video surfaced, a man attacked a police officer in Queens with a hatchet. 17 people were killed in a series of terror attacks in France last week. About 40 world leaders, minus President Obama, attended an anti-terror march in Paris on Sunday. The United States on Friday issued a global travel warning after the Paris attacks.
Daubenmire is hosting a prayer vigil on Saturday alongside the Rev. Rusty Thomas of Operation Save America and Pastor Bill Dunfee of New Beginnings Church in Warsaw.
The billboards are sponsored by a group called "Ask a Muslim," based in Columbus, which says that it is dedicated to educating people about Islam. "We believe that clearing up the many misconceptions about Islam will make this world a better place. A place with less violence and hatred, filled with mutual respect and understanding," the group says. The group argues on its website that Muslims are actually Christians, if "Christian" is taken to mean someone following the teachings of Christ. "Muslims are following the teachings of Jesus, while most Christians have began to follow the Church – this is why the Quran needed to be revealed. (Holy Quran 9:31)," the website states, and offers that there is a connection between Jesus and Muhammad in the Bible. "Please remember Islam = following Jesus. Muhammad confirmed Jesus," it adds. Requests for comment and further clarification from "Ask a Muslim" by The Christian Post were not returned by the time of press. Through the prayer vigil, Daubenmire is hoping to make clear that Jesus Christ is not a Muslim. Read full article HERE
“They (Muslims) say: ‘No, we are not this, the Koran is a book of peace, it is a prophetic book of peace,’” he added.
The pope also called on key Muslim leaders to condemn terrorism when it’s conducted in the name of Islam. Such “global condemnation” would do a lot toward warding off stereotypes against Islam, he said.
BEIRUT - The Islamic State group released a graphic video on Sunday in which a black-clad militant claimed to have beheaded U.S. aid worker Peter Kassig, who was captured last year.
The militant was standing over a severed head, but it was not immediately possible to confirm that it was Kassig, 26, who was pictured in the video. U.S. officials said they were working to determine the video's authenticity and the Kassig family said it was awaiting the outcome of the investigation. The video, which was posted on websites used by the group in the past, appeared to be the latest in a series of blood-soaked messages to the U.S. warning of further brutality if it does not abandon its air campaign in Iraq and Syria. "This is Peter Edward Kassig, a U.S. citizen, of your country; Peter who fought against the Muslims in Iraq, while serving as a soldier," the militant says near the end of the nearly 16-minute video. He speaks in an audible British accent despite his voice being distorted to make it more difficult to identify him. The video identifies the militant's location as Dabiq, a small town in the northern Syrian province of Aleppo, near the Turkish border. The video also shows what appears to be the mass beheading of several Syrian soldiers captured by the group. The militants warn that U.S. soldiers will meet a similar fate. "We say to you, Obama...you claim to have withdrawn from Iraq four years ago," the militant said. "Here you are: you have not withdrawn. Rather, you hid some of your forces behind your proxies," he said, apparently referring to Western-backed Syrian rebels, Kurdish fighters and the Iraqi military. "Here we are, burying the first American crusader in Dabiq, eagerly waiting for the remainder of your armies to arrive." Source: The Blaze
Author: Jason Howerton A mother in Union County, North Carolina, told WJZY-TV that her son, a freshman at Porter Ridge High School, brought home a worksheet on Islam containing some questionable answers. She was upset enough over the assignment that she contacted the school and her local news station after reviewing the material. The sentence that bothered the mom the most stated, “Most Muslims’ faith is stronger than the average Christian.” Read some of the other answers from the world history assignment below: Source: Mad World News Author: SEAN BROWN A group of Satanists, recently arrested for murdering and eating two prostitutes in North Carolina, have a terrifying connection with Islam. According to Shoebat, Pazuzu Algarad had not only a fascination with jihadists and the Muslim faith, but he went to great lengths to show them support, as well as had an extensive knowledge of the Arabic language. Yesterday, we reported that police had released video from inside Algarad’s home, which he shared with his mother and girlfriend. After seeing the same video and noticing an abundance of Arabic writing inside the home, Shoebat started digging deeper into Algarad’s interests and what ties he had to the Muslim faith, and the parallels he discovered are terrifying. Algarad was arrested in October after police found the remains of two people in shallow graves in the backyard of his North Carolina home. As details emerged from the case, we discovered that prior to burning their bodies and burying them, Algarad had eaten portions of their flesh. |
