. Anna Kooiman reported on "Fox and Friends Weekend" this morning that the new video depicts an image of the mega-mall with its GPS coordinates as a man tells followers to use the Westgate massacre as inspiration. The Mall of America has taken the threat very seriously, increasing security and releasing a statement that says, "Mall of America is aware of a video that was recently released which included a mention and images of the Mall. We will continue to monitor events with the help of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies." Other terror targets mentioned in the video include popular malls in the United Kingdom and Canada Source:myfoxny
NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -The NYPD has been warned about possible terror attacks by the Islamic State, or ISIS, after a new video surfaced. The video was posted online and encourages its followers to attack police in Canada, Great Britain, France and the U.S. It specifically mentions civilians, police and military. The NYPD is taking the threat seriously. A bulletin tells New York City police to watch approaching people, particularly their hands. However, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security issued a statement that authorities "have no specific, credible intelligence of an attack of the kind in Paris last week being planned by terrorist organizations in this country." But, the reasons for these measures should be self-evident to the public: the recent attacks in Paris, Ottawa, Sydney, and elsewhere, along with the recent public calls by terrorist organizations for attacks on Western objectives, including aircraft, military personnel, and government installations and civilian personnel," Secretary Jeh Johnson said in a statement. He said the agencies within the department had stepped up security and counter-terrorism measures. A previous ISIS video appears to have inspired attacks. About a month after that video surfaced, a man attacked a police officer in Queens with a hatchet. 17 people were killed in a series of terror attacks in France last week. About 40 world leaders, minus President Obama, attended an anti-terror march in Paris on Sunday. The United States on Friday issued a global travel warning after the Paris attacks.
BEIRUT - The Islamic State group released a graphic video on Sunday in which a black-clad militant claimed to have beheaded U.S. aid worker Peter Kassig, who was captured last year.
The militant was standing over a severed head, but it was not immediately possible to confirm that it was Kassig, 26, who was pictured in the video. U.S. officials said they were working to determine the video's authenticity and the Kassig family said it was awaiting the outcome of the investigation. The video, which was posted on websites used by the group in the past, appeared to be the latest in a series of blood-soaked messages to the U.S. warning of further brutality if it does not abandon its air campaign in Iraq and Syria. "This is Peter Edward Kassig, a U.S. citizen, of your country; Peter who fought against the Muslims in Iraq, while serving as a soldier," the militant says near the end of the nearly 16-minute video. He speaks in an audible British accent despite his voice being distorted to make it more difficult to identify him. The video identifies the militant's location as Dabiq, a small town in the northern Syrian province of Aleppo, near the Turkish border. The video also shows what appears to be the mass beheading of several Syrian soldiers captured by the group. The militants warn that U.S. soldiers will meet a similar fate. "We say to you, Obama...you claim to have withdrawn from Iraq four years ago," the militant said. "Here you are: you have not withdrawn. Rather, you hid some of your forces behind your proxies," he said, apparently referring to Western-backed Syrian rebels, Kurdish fighters and the Iraqi military. "Here we are, burying the first American crusader in Dabiq, eagerly waiting for the remainder of your armies to arrive." Source: Red flag News
(by Norvell Rose, WCJ) -- After two years attending the same Oklahoma City mosque where accused beheader Alton Nolen worshipped, this man claims that he became convinced — convinced that the “religion of peace” actually promotes radical jihad. Calling himself “Noor,” the man went on “The Kelly File” to describe what he learned about the non-public teachings that may well have led to the radicalization of the beheading suspect in the brutal murder of a woman at a Moore, OK food processing facility. An Army intelligence bulletin is warning U.S. military personnel to be vigilant after Islamic State militants called on supporters to scour social media for addresses of their family members – and to “show up [at their homes] and slaughter them."
The assessment, obtained by Fox News, came from the Army Threat Integration Center which issues early warnings of criminal and terrorist threats to Army posts worldwide. The advisory warns military personnel and their families about the Islamic State, or ISIS, calling on supporters to target their homes. The Moore Police Department says that a man beheaded a woman after a workplace dispute Thursday at a food distribution plant. The suspect, 30-year-old Alton Nolen, beheaded a co-worker at Vaughan Foodsjust after 4 p.m. Thursday. In a press conference Friday Moore Police Department Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said Nolen had just been fired by Vaughan Foods before attacking and beheading 54-year-old co-worker Colleen Hufford. According to police, the suspect then stabbed another co-worker, 43-year-old Traci Johnson, at the business before being shot by an off-duty deputy and the COO of the company Mark Vaughan. |
